Personal Bio: Dr.
Jonanna Bryant
Dr. Jonanna Bryant is currently a
nurse consultant for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
Services as well as an adjunct professor for Immaculata
University in the Philadelphia, PA area. Dr. Bryant is married
to Deland L. Bryant.
Dr. Bryant received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the
College of New Rochelle in 1991. In 2005, she graduated from
Cairn University (aka Philadelphia Biblical University) in 2005
with a Master’s of Science in Bible. With a passion to teach
others, Dr. Bryant returned to school again and attended Walden
University. Dr. Bryant received her Master’s of Science in
Nursing with a focus in nursing education in 2011 and a doctor
of nursing practice in 2016. Dr. Bryant’s published doctoral
project is entitled Characteristics of an informal caregiver: An
integrative review.
Dr. Bryant was selected to be on the Board for Black Nurses Rock
in September 2015 as the Director of Research and Development.
In June of 2016, she was promoted to become the National
Secretary for Black Nurses Rock, Inc. Dr. Bryant also works as
the Chapter Development Lead for BNR, Inc. In February 2016, Dr.
Bryant organized the first local chapter in Philadelphia and is
currently the Chapter CEO/President.
In 2016, Dr. Bryant started her own
company, Nursing with Dr. J. Bryant. As the owner and founder of
the company it was her desire to mentor, lead and to provide a
service to her community in a variety of avenues. Dr. Bryant is
an international conference speaker. She has been a repeat
conference speaker for Black Nurses Rock, Inc.
In 2017, Dr. Bryant started working
as an internet radio host for Hot 104.5 The Nurses Station TM (www.thenursesstation.net).
Her radio show title is Faith & Facts with Dr. Jo. She also
has her own podcast, currently available on iTunes ®, Googleplay
® , SoundCloud ® , and Podomatic ®. Dr. Bryant’s life scripture
is Esther 4:14 “…For such a time as this.” The Lord has called
her to do a mighty work for Him and for the Kingdom of God for
such as time as this. She looks forward to serving her community
in many different aspects.
